Halterman attended Alderson Broaddus University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health. He was a 4 year member of AB Battlers football team where he played Defensive Back and was a member of the 2016 GMAC championship team.

Originally from Petersburg, WV Halterman resides in Philippi with his fiancé Shannon.
